There are many symbols in nature which represent transformation and change - the Phoenix, the Butterfly, the Lotus Flower, etc.
In life we all experience many transformations, each one making us wiser and stronger, but for those who are willing to face their fears and embrace change, the experience of a butterfly is similar to their own.
They're born into a particular life and environment where they learn and grow. They found out everything it means to be a caterpillar and get used to life on the ground. When the time comes, the caterpillar experienced a season of separation where it wraps itself in a cocoon. For us, we get to a point in our journeys where we have to walk alone and take the time to find out who we really are.
By the end of this season, the caterpillar has transformed into a beautiful butterfly and it flies away... as humans, this part can be somewhat difficult. Life on the ground is everything we know and although the thought of limitless opportunity excites us - we can't wait to try out our wings - we can feel attached to the life we used to live. We embrace change, but not too much. The issue is, the butterfly is not meant for the same environment as the caterpillar.
I am encouraging you to fly because deep down you have this knowing, a feeling of growth which gives you the confidence to live this new experience unapologetically. You don't have to feel bad. Maybe you miss your caterpillar friends - some of them are I'll transform into butterflies too, it's all apart of life.
So, no matter what stage of transformation you're in, I want you to remember to embrace change and be true to yourself.
